If you are planning to drive by ICE (Inter City Express) in Germany and to use Cloud Platform, you will obviously need more or less a good internet connection.
One possible solution is a connection sharing by your cell phone. This one does not really work. It is only suitable for mails, because connection is mostly very bad and often interrupted.
Much “better” solution seems to be the Telekom WLAN offer called Telekom_ICE.
If you are owner of a T-Mobile contract you can send a SMS with content “Open" to number 9526.

Here is a result which shows what speed you can expect:

This does not look bad:

But after some time it can also this happen :

After a while, you might get the better connection again and so on.

Interestingly, if you take a look on connectivity information provided by T-Mobile, you will see that all works perfectly. This is true, but
information provided here is related to WLAN connection to the gateway in the ICE-train, but not to gateway’s connection to the internet.

As recap, ICE (T-Mobile) offers a relative good good WLAN connection. The only problem is that the connection is not reliable enough. In other words, it is better than your cell-phone-internet sharing, but there are lot of interruptions. Practically this means, the currently available connection cannot be used for work. You can read your e-mails or take a look in Facebook.

Permanent high quality connection is something else. At least to me :).
