&lt;p&gt;The result of this behavior is that CurrentProncipal.Identity has a valid user authenticated by membership provider, but the user will not have any role.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In other words, it doesn&amp;#39;t work.&lt;/p&gt;
