Network Problems: One Client cannot see the other or someone cannot access this client

Weekend experience :)

Me and my boyfriend wanted to play a game over network, but we get in trouble.

The first problem was I cannot see the laptop of my boyfriend in the network, so i thought something is wrong but where?? The next problem we come in was that my boyfriend can see me but he cannot access my shares.

So I check every network setting, every policy which is depending on it and every other things i know.

After 2 hours frustrating searching I found a forum entry which describes that the connection could not be made if there are VPN Clients installed.

So I uninstalled my VPN Clients and now everything gonna be OK and we can finally gonna play :)
