The Microsoft Edge Browser cannot open by default any local address. This is because Edge is an app and all apps on Windows 8.0+ including Windows 10 are not permitted to access locally hosted addresses.
Fortunately there is a way to enable so called “Loopback Exemptions”.
To do this I use typically Fiddler:
